Our Story
Urban was founded in 2020 by Nathan Yates, bringing his deep expertise in Manchester’s residential property sector to create a smarter, more accountable way to manage buildings. Nathan saw first-hand the challenges property managers faced—juggling too many contractors, inconsistent standards, and unclear responsibilities.
In 2022, Urban became part of the Nirvana Group, combining Nathan’s local knowledge and operational excellence with the national resources and experience of Darren Waitson and the wider Nirvana team. This partnership allows Urban to deliver both personal service and the strength of a larger group—offering clients the best of both worlds.
Today, Urban supports over 1500 properties throughout Manchester and the surrounding areas, providing fast void turnarounds, seamless refurbishments, and reliable maintenance—all managed by a single, responsive team.
